Frequently Asked Wedding Questions

Does it matter if you haven’t worked at my venue before?

No. If I haven’t worked at a venue before I factor in a venue visit on the morning of the wedding (or before) to familiarise myself.  If you're still concerned, please drop me a message or pop into the studio to chat about your venue

How many images we will receive and do we get usage rights?

Image numbers largely depend on how much coverage you opt for in your package and the details surrounding your big day. During a typical full wedding day (bridal preparations through to 9pm/first dance), and with just me as the photographer, you will receive roughly 1000 images. You are assigned full and unrestricted personal usage rights to print and share/distribute yourselves. If you’re planning on publishing your photos via third party blogs/magazines/social media, please let me know and i can let you know copyright restrictions and licensing rates.

Are you fully insured and can you provide my venue with a certificate of insurance?

Yes and yes, I have full, professional insurance to cover every aspect of my wedding photography services and can provide documentation to a venue if requested.

Do you have an assistant?

That completely depends. If you have more than 100 guests at your wedding, or you venue is large, I will bring an assistant with me. My assistant functions as both a photographer and an assistant. He or she occasionally acts as a second vantage point throughout certain parts of the day to ensure consistent coverage of wedding guests.

Do you have back-up equipment?

Yes, I always have at least three cameras and multiple lenses, it’s exceptionally rare that a technical issue occurs but in the event that it does, I’m covered!

I’m quite far away from you, how far do you travel?

Yes, I can certainly travel to your venue! Travel expenses are incurred if your venue is more than 15 miles away from my studio (CV114LU). Depending on how far away you are, I may also need a hotel too, I need my beauty sleep to be able to photograph your big day to the best of my ability, so it is sometimes necessary for me to charge a little extra for these things.

How long after the wedding will the photographs be ready?

Your images are usually ready within 8-10 weeks following the wedding. I always aim to try and deliver them sooner than this if possible, but this will depend if your wedding is taking place in prime wedding season or not.

What is your payment schedule?

A non-refundable booking fee of £200 is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your big day. Don’t worry, I’ll send you a payment reminder when its due, I know you have a lot on your plate!

What if you die? (yes, someone has asked me that before)

If I die, i can guarantee I won’t be at your wedding, which would be really sad. However, I do have a back up plan and am part of a network of photographers that step in last minute to deal with these kind of issues.

Okay, maybe not DIE, but what if you’re really ill?

In nearly 10 years of photographing weddings, I have never missed a wedding for any reason. Please know that I take the responsibility of photographing your wedding extremely seriously, and wouldn’t just ‘call in sick’ without a very grave serious reason behind it. If that were to happen, I would find you a replacement photographer from my network, at the same skill set and style that i have. If this is something that concerns you, please call me or drop into the studio to discuss. I promise that this is a situation that i have planned for very carefully, and hope i never have to execute that plan.

Ok, I’m happy with all this, how do i book?

Amazing! I’d love to photograph your big day. Drop me a message here to schedule in a chat with me at my studio to get the ball rolling. I can’t wait to hear all about your plans.
